The Böker Plus Exskelibur I Framelock Steel 01BO137 is a slim pocket knife for daily use, designed by Mike Skellern. This South-African designer is known for his slim pocket knives enhanced with front flipper. As such you can also easily and quickly open this pocket knife with the front flipper.

The front flipper is a part of the blade that sticks out of the handle when closed. Due to the subtle grip serrations, also known as jimping, you have enough grip with your thumb or index finger to launch the blade. The ball bearings around the pivot ensure that the blade moves smoothly.

The handle is made from G10 and stainless steel. The show side is made from G10 and the lock side from stainless steel. The steel side is enhanced with a solid framelock to make sure the blade stays in place when opened.

The blade is made from D2. A tough type of steel that retains its sharpness well. For years D2 has been a reliable choice for different tools. The only thing you need to take into account is that D2 isn't completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil.
